20 March 2022 – These boots were made for loading

It's two months in to my ownership and I'm still enjoying both looking at and driving my Peugeot 3008, and a recent trip to the tip has now highlighted its practicality.

Our load included not only sacks of grass cuttings but also various bits of bulky flat-pack furniture. Luckily, the boot’s plenty big enough, and there’s even a height-adjustable boot floor, so there’s no awkward lip to load things over. With the rear seats folded down – and rather handily they fold down completely flat – it all fitted in, although one or two of the longer items were a bit of a struggle. 

My car is in Allure trim, but interestingly, if I’d gone one trim level up and ordered an Allure Premium, I would have got a front passenger seat that can be folded down completely flat. Admittedly, I wouldn’t have made much use of it, because my wife was travelling with me, and she has a quite understandable objection to being folded up inside a car seat unnecessarily.
