The Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint has been released to celebrate the Sprint model from the 1950s.

The 2015 car comes equipped with a new 147bhp 1.4 Multiair turbocharged petrol engine and a six-speed manual gearbox.

The exterior and interior are festooned with Sprint badges and standard kit includes new 17-inch alloys, red interior stitching and new carbonfibre effect on the dashboard and door panels.

The new 147bhp 1.4 Multiair turbo can propel the Sprint from 0-60mph in 8.2 seconds, averages 49.6mpg and emits 131g/km of CO2.

The original Giulietta Sprint coupe was introduced in 1954. It was powered by a 1.3 twin cam engine producing 80bhp and had a top speed of 88mph.

The new Giulietta Sprint goes on sale in early 2015 for £20,490.
