New Kia EV6 vs used Jaguar I-Pace: verdict

The Kia EV6 is a class-leading new electric SUV, but for slightly less you could have a used version of Jaguar's super-desirable I-Pace. So, which is the better buy?...

New Kia EV6 vs used Jaguar I-Pace

Our verdict

Make no mistake, these are two seriously good electric cars, and if the future is going to be as rosy as this, you can bring it on now.

Take the iconoclastic Jaguar I-Pace. Go for a test drive, even if it’s a used one like the car on test, and you’ll be entranced by its stylish looks and opulent interior. It’s great to drive, too, with a fine ride and handling balance and a very usable real-world range. And it's even good value when bought used.

However, it’s the Kia EV6 we’d go for. It might not have the handling finesse of the I-Pace, but it's every bit as striking, as well as quieter, more spacious and able to go even farther on a charge. It also has a better infotainment system, while Kia has a more confidence-inspiring reliability record than Jaguar. Add in a seven-year warranty and rock-solid resale values and its victory is confirmed.
