Used test: Mini Electric vs Peugeot e-208 vs Renault Zoe verdict

At three years old, these small electric cars will save you around £9000 off their respective new cars prices. To find out which is best, we've pitted them against each other...

Mini Electric vs Peugeot e-208 vs Renault Zoe front action

Our verdict

The Mini Electric may be classy, quick and fun to drive, but a poor range and lack of practicality holds it back. Its limited ability is made particularly evident in the face of the more capable Peugeot e-208 and Renault Zoe, hence it comes third in this test.

For a more comfortable and roomier car, look to the Zoe. Its superior range also gives it a clear advantage, as well as its lower used prices. Regardless, its zero-star safety rating can't be ignored, so it falls short of first place. This leaves the e-208, a car that feels much more upmarket than the Zoe. We suspect the e-208’s decent range will be plenty for most people, too, and its faster charging rate means less time waiting while you top up the battery. It takes the win here.
