    My car

This is my first car, I bought it 3 months ago when it was a year old and had done under 8000 miles, and got a really good value car. I wanted something with a bit more oomph than a 1.2, and the 1.4 in my Zetec suits me perfectly. It is really nimble in town; turning circle is really small and handy for parking. However, it also feels safe and solid on dual carriageways and isn't that noisy either. I have got A/C on mine as an extra, and it's very efficient at clearing windscreens. I have had it serviced and didn't think the cost was unreasonable. It seems fairly economic on the fuel front (although my father's diesel Octavia beats it hands down at 60mpg!). The insurance group is low enough to make it a realistic prospect for a new young driver. It's a nicer looking car in the 3-dr than the 5-dr, and the extra body kit you get on the Zetec really improves its looks. Inside its a little plasticky, but I didn't expect Ferrari style for Ford money! Everything works well which is more important really. Above all, it's got a solid feel to it and is easy to drive.

    My car

This is a fantastic car for the money, and it is also a very grown up car, and still fun to drive (plus it shifts).

    My car

The car handles well and is smart in appearance but there its good points end.

The noise levels in this car, ie wind noise, transmission noise and road noise, are horrendous.

The car has been in many times to dealers to remedy noise from power steering when idling. They apparently do not know how to cure the fault and now inform me that this level of noise is normal!

To conclude, I would not recommend this car to anyone. Ford apparently does not know the meaning of sound insulation. The only optional extra I would recommend for this car is ear defenders! And I cannot wait to change it for another car (obviously not a Ford!).
