    My car

It has a smoother ride than the previous model, however it has less pockets to keep bits in.

The smaller, higher seats give poorer visibility than the previous model, unless you are a Smurf.

Land Rover thinks it has resolved the engine noise at speed by making the radio volume speed-sensitive! Buy the old model - definitely more user friendly.

    My car

There were issues with the body work when I took delivery, and problems with the clutch at 4000 miles.

Apart from the basic quaity issues, the car's good fun and excellent on fuel.

    My car

Overall, I think it is a great car. The only thing I would say is that it feels heavier/stiffer to drive than the older 1999 version which I still have, and I find myself driving it with more caution.

Also, I find the seating in the new one less comfortable than the older version as the headreast is in a higher position, and being smallish, this tends to push my head forward which is uncomfortable, so I have to recline the seat more to compensate which isn't so good.

However, the visibility is very good and I have never had any problems mechanically with my old one. I would recommend this car to anyone. Fuel consumption is great. Insurance is good. Love the new shape.
