Before joining What Car?, Sam spent three years at Nottingham Trent University studying journalism, and graduated with a first class honours degree in May 2021.

During his degree, Sam developed his writing and interviewing skills and honed his abilities further through work experience placements on local newspapers and automotive websites.

While studying, he also produced content for his blog and also shared videos on his YouTube channel.
