Tom Goodban Q&A

What’s the best piece of advice you could offer a car buyer?

As a videographer, I have a weakness for vehicles with plenty of space. But everyone is different. So before chasing a desirable brand or a pocket rocket, ensure your bespoke needs are met by your desired car before signing the dotted line.

What’s the best car you’ve ever driven?

In my previous role, I became very familiar with models from the Stellantis group, but since joining What Car? I've been able to drive a far wider range of cars. But despite my need for practicality, I have to say, I had a blast in the Mini JCW Electric.

What will the car market look like in 20 years?

I can imagine it'll be a wash of colours — because it's great to see many brands offering bright colours as the only non-cost option for their cars. I love it when a bright coloured car helps to make my videos pop; it's so much nicer than a sea of grey!
