Nissan Qashqai car lease deals
Before Nissan launched the Qashqai in 2007, the idea of a high-riding family SUV seemed laughable. Things have changed since then—and that’s due in no small part to this excellent SUV. What Car? loved the original Qashqai, and while the current model faces stiff competition from brands that have mimicked its jazzy styling and elevated driving position, the Qashqai still scores a solid four stars.
Which Nissan Qashqai leasing option is right for you?
With seven trims and three engines in the running, choosing a Nissan Qashqai to lease could be confusing. Fortunately, the trims are sensibly demarcated: basic Visia gives you all the essentials, while Acenta, N-Connecta, and Acenta Premium add consecutive layers of luxury. Acenta Premium is our favourite, giving you 17in alloys, dual-zone climate control, front and rear parking sensors, and a rear-view camera. Choose the entry-level 1.3-litre manual-gearbox engine for an easy drive in any gear, with decent acceleration to boot.
Lease a Nissan Qashqai. For family life, and family adventures
Lease a Nissan Qashqai and you’ll be in good company: more than a million of them have been sold since Nissan debuted the model back in 2007. The Qashqai’s success is partly due to its funky looks, and partly thanks to the no-nonsense practicality of its interior. Built for family life, a Qashqai gives decent space for two adults in the front, and is more than capable of coping with a couple of kids in the back. Tekna+ trim includes a panoramic glass roof that makes the Qashqai significantly less roomy in front—worth bearing in mind if you’re six foot or taller. Whichever Qashqai you lease, we’ll help you find the best dealership offers from around the UK.
Fuel-efficient Nissan Qashqai leasing choices
When you lease a Nissan Qashqai, you’ll benefit from respectable fuel efficiency. Particularly if you go for the 1.5-litre diesel, which scored 51.9mpg on the What Car? website’s True MPG tests. The 1.3-litre petrol engine, our favourite in terms of performance and value, scored 41.3mpg. Company car drivers should note that the Nissan Qashqai emits the least CO2 when you fit the smallest alloys (17in). Ride comfort is best with the smaller wheels, so even if you choose to lease a Qashqai on a trim level that boasts bigger wheels, we’d recommend swapping them for the 17in versions.
