The Citroën ë-C5 Aircross is a rare thing: relatively cheap but also genuinely good in many ways. The headline is range: the Long Range officially goes 420 miles between charges, which is miles more than other close rivals. But the ë-C5 Aircross is also really comfortable over any surface; quiet on motorways; and well equipped. And while there are roomier electric SUVs, they're massive; the ë-C5 Aircross qualifies as plenty big enough. We haven't tested the Long Range exhaustively enough yet to say for sure that it's our favourite battery choice, but it's certainly impressive and could push the ë-C5 Aircross's overall rating up to five stars. We'll confirm that ASAP. Until then, the Comfort Range remains our pick, and our favourite trim is mid-spec Plus.
