The current Civic did very well in the family car section of our latest Reliability Survey, finishing in a respectable fourth position out of 25 cars with a score of 97.6%. That places it above the Toyota Corolla (96.4%), Ford Focus (94.9%) and VW Golf Mk8 (84.1%), but below the BMW 1 Series (98.6%).
As a brand, Honda finished in a solid fourth place out of 31 manufacturers in the car brand reliability section of our survey. That places it above most of its rivals, including Ford, VW and Seat, but below Mini.

Among the responses, only one car experienced a mechanical issue – a faulty hybrid system warning light – though it was resolved promptly by the dealer under warranty. This minor glitch aside, the rest of the feedback points to consistent reliability, with no other faults noted.
Owners also expressed high levels of satisfaction with Honda’s dealer network. Repairs, where needed, were completed quickly and without fuss, and staff were consistently described as polite and efficient. One reader praised the clear communication and fast turnaround, especially during a routine software update.
Overall, feedback for the latest Civic Hybrid suggests that both the car and Honda’s dealers inspire confidence, with minimal issues and dependable aftersales support.
