Advice for buyers
What should I look for in a used Lexus NX estate?
The NX’s narrow body makes it easier to manoeuvre than most SUVs of this size, but its extremities can still be difficult to place, so take a look at the corners for scuffs and make sure there are no signs of kerbing on the wheels. And, as with any family-sized SUV, it’s worth checking the interior carefully to make sure it hasn’t been used and abused by young family members.

What are the most common problems with a used Lexus NX estate?
Actually, there seems to be very few issues. NX owners are generally a happy bunch, and while they do report the odd problem, we haven’t come across any serious and repeated faults that are worth knowing about.
Is a used Lexus NX estate reliable?
Incredibly so. In our most recent reliability survey, the NX finished in third place in the hybrid and electric car class with a score of 99.7%, with its hatchback sibling the Lexus CT finishing first overall with a perfect score of 100%, and its larger SUV sibling the RX finishing fourth with a score of 99.4%. The saloon IS finished eighth, with a score of 98.3%.
Lexus as a manufacturer performed exceptionally well, finishing top of the table of 31 brands with a score of 99.3%.
