In isolation, the Grecale looks to be a step in the right direction for Maserati. It offers capable handling and a smart, spacious interior. Our favourite version – the entry-level GT – is quick enough and has the most comfortable ride. Meanwhile, the all-electric Grecale Folgore is comfy but also expensive compared with the electric Porsche Macan, which outclasses it for handling.
The trim
If you’re after something sporty, the top-spec Trofeo will be for you. This version comes with the 523bhp V6 and gets plenty of performance-focused upgrades. It’s expensive, though, so we’d probably point you towards the Porsche Macan instead.
