If you're looking at the Audi A4 but fancy something a bit more stylish, the A5 Sportback is your next logical step. The A5 is based on the A4 but takes the form of a sleek five-door coupé rather than a standard saloon. Buyers are clearly drawn to those svelte looks, too, since interest increases by 4% over time.

There was a time when a Jaguar XE wouldn't be considered alongside an A4, but thanks to a recent facelift, it's more of a contender in the executive saloon market than ever before. And while interest in the XE ultimately decreases over time, there's still plenty to recommend about Jaguar's smallest saloon, primarily its agile handling and generous equipment list.
