Kia's Picanto is the sister car to Hyundai's i10, and while it's never been ranked as highly as the tiny Hyundai, the Picanto is still a good choice if you want small, cheap transport. This version gets you all the basic equipment you'll want, including air conditioning, and the three cylinder petrol engine included as part of this deal offers low CO2 emissions. Be aware, though, that an all-new Picanto is going on sale in the summer.
Target price cost per month: £107Target price (on the road): £8708The deal: 3 years PCP finance with 2.9% APR and a finance deposit contribution of £2000.
The Skoda Fabia is currently our favourite small car, despite competing against some of the best-selling models in the UK, including the Ford Fiesta, Vauxhall Corsa and Volkswagen Polo. What sets the Fabia apart from the crowd is its spacious and practical interior, enjoyable driving style and user-friendly infotainment system. The 1.0-litre petrol engine included as part of this deal isn't our favourite in the range, but it's lively enough around town. Entry-level S trim gets you most of the essentials, but misses out on air conditioning and alloy wheels.
Target price cost per month: £109Target price (on the road): £6707The deal: 3 years PCP finance with 5.9% APR
The Celerio is one of our favourite budget cars. It's cheap to buy and run and comes with plenty of standard equipment, and while its interior feels cheap in places, there's no denying this is a fun and frugal little car. The 1.0-litre petrol engine included here is our pick of the range, and feels fine whether you're in town or on the motorway. In addition, you get central locking, split-folding rear seats, a digital radio and electric front windows as standard. Spend a few pounds more and you can upgrade to our recommended SZ3 trim, which gets you even more kit.
