Chevrolet Aveo - now with three doors

This is the three-door Chevrolet Aveo supermini, which will go on sale in September.

It follows in the footsteps of the five-door model, which goes on sale in May.

Although based on the same underpinnings as the Kalos that it replaces, the Aveo has been thoroughly reworked, with new exterior styling, interior trim and engine.

It will be powered by an 82bhp 1.2-litre petrol engine that emits 132g/km of carbon dioxide, although company officials concede they may add a diesel at a later date.

No prices have been released for the three-door model, but it is expected to cost from around 7250.
