Ford's all-new Ka will cost from 7995 when it goes on sale in January.
It will be available with 1.2-litre petrol and 1.3 diesel engines and the smaller petrol engine will produce just 119g/km CO2. It's also just 95 more than the Fiat 500, upon which it is based.
The new Ka will be available in four versions: Studio, Style, Style+ and Zetec.
Ford's entry-level model, Studio, will cost from 7995 and standard features include: electric power assisted steering, anti-lock brakes, driver and passenger front airbags, and height adjustable seats. Six-speaker stereo system, MP3-compliant connector and colour-coded bumpers are also standard.
Style specification will cost from 8495 and brings, remote central-locking, colour-coded door handles, powered and heated door mirrors, driver's seat memory function and height adjustment. There are also 50/50 rear split seats, and headrests.
The Style + version will add air-conditioning and heated windscreen.
Ford's range-topping Zetec costs from 9495, up to 10,195 for the 1.3-litre TDCI. Expected to account for 40% of Ka sales, it will also feature 15-in alloys, front foglights and upgraded instruments. The 1.3 diesel engine offers lower emissions and better economy.
