Hyundai Veloster Turbo prices released

The Hyundai Veloster Turbo SE will cost 21,995 when it goes on sale on September 24.

As well as a new 184bhp turbocharged 1.6-litre petrol engine, the Hyundai Veloster Turbo SE has a range of upgrades over other Veloster models.

On the outside, the Veloster Turbo SE has sportier bumpers, front grille and foglights. There are twin exhaust tailpipes, deeper sideskirts and a new rear splitter and spoiler.

Three exterior colours are available: White Crystal (solid), Phantom Black (pearlescent) and Matt Grey (matte finish). There are bespoke 18-inch alloy wheels.

The interior features redesigned leather seats, electric driver's seat adjustment and an entertainment system that incorporates a seven-inch touch-screen, satellite-navigation and a rear parking camera.

The Hyundai Veloster Turbo SE also has different suspension settings to other Veloster models, with firmer dampers that are designed to provide sharper handling. The 1.6 turbo engine is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. Hyundai quotes a 0-62mph time of 8.4 seconds.

At 21,955, the Veloster Turbo SE costs 1685 more than the 1.6 GDi Sport model. It's a rival for sporty three-door models such as the Vauxhall Astra GTC and Volkswagen Scirocco.
