All Ceed, Ceed Estate and Pro_Ceed models come with full iPod integration as standard, so, you can play your iPod through your cars stereo and also choose tracks without fiddling about with the iPod itself. It will also charge your iPod on the move. The only thing you cant do is access playlists.
The Picanto comes with the same fully integrated system as standard, but goes one better you can access your playlists, too.
If youve got another brand of MP3 player, both models also come with an auxiliary input socket as standard. You can use this (along with a 3.5mm jack cable) to play your MP3s through the cars stereo.
Land Rover
An Audio Connectivity Module (basically an auxiliary input) is standard on all Freelander, Discovery, Range Rover and Range Rover Sport models.
Lexus
The IS gets an auxiliary input socket as standard, so you can simply plug in your iPod using a 3.5mm jack lead and effectively use the cars speakers as big earphones.
The entire Lexus range can also be specced with an iPod Integration Kit. Its compatible with all current generation iPod models that have an Apple dock connector, and will also work with many earlier iPods (although some functions might not be accessible).
The kit gives you an iPod connector in the glovebox. Plug in the iPod and a direct link is formed between the player and the audio system, letting you select and play tracks using the controls on the audio head unit or (if fitted) the controls on the steering wheel.
The cost is 150 (plus fitting), which takes approximately an hour.
