Skoda Yeti SUV revealed

These are the first official images and details of the Skoda Yeti SUV.

It is a 4.2 metre long, five-door, high-riding hatchback that is targetted against rivals such as the Nissan Qashqai and Fiat Sedici.

Five engines will be offered from launch: two petrols and three diesels.

The entry-level unit is a turbocharged 103bhp 1.2-litre that's available with front-wheel drive only.

The four-wheel-drive petrol model uses a 158bhp 1.8-litre turbocharged petrol engine.

The three 2.0-litre diesels are a 109bhp unit available with two-wheel drive only, and 138bhp and 168bhp units that come with four-wheel-drive.

The Yeti has 1760 litres of boot space with its rear seats folded down, and features a luggage cover and a cargo net.

The Yeti is due to go on sale in the UK in September. No prices or trim levels have been released yet.
