WATCH: Plug-in hybrid vs mild hybrid – which is best?
How much does a 200-mile journey cost in a plug-in hybrid compared with a mild hybrid car? Watch to find out...
If you want to lower your fuel bills – but you aren't ready to switch to a fully electric car – then you have a few options. You can go for a mild hybrid, which uses small amounts of electric assistance to reduce the strain on the engine, a regular hybrid, which does more of the same on a larger scale, or a plug-in hybrid, which offers substantial electric-only range but tend to be more expensive to buy.
