For The Bentley Continental GT offers effortless pace and provides all the prestigious image you could wish for.
Against It doesn't come cheap, either to buy or to run, and the W12 versions feel pretty nose-heavy.
The Bentley Continental GT fuses modern mechanicals with traditional themes. Just don’t expect it to handle like a sports car.
Buyers have two flavours of Bentley Continental GT to choose from.
Many of the car’s well-heeled buyers will insist on having the range-topping GT Speed version, which comes with a ferocious 616bhp 6.0-litre engine. However, we’d recommend opting for the twin-turbocharged, direct-injection V8 model. It’s hardly any slower than the W12-powered car, it feels more agile and it also costs much less to buy and run. The fact remains, though, that only the super-rich will be able to afford the V8.
Both versions come with a whole bunch of luxury equipment, and Bentley will fit pretty much any item of luxury equipment at the buyer’s request – for a handsome fee, naturally.
