Like every version before it, the MX-5 is a bit of a bargain. Prices range from less than £19,000 to around £23,000, which means the MX-5 costs roughly the same as the Mini Roadster, but less than the Subaru BRZ and Toyota GT86 coupe twins.
It's pretty well equipped for the money, too. Every version comes with LED headlights, air-con, alloy wheels, a USB socket, leather-trimmed steering wheel and four airbags, while higher-spec versions get heated leather seats, sat-nav, rear parking sensors and a touchscreen infotainment system.
