With some extra kit and a more efficient engine the Dacia Sandero now looks even better value. But should you choose one over the new Ford Ka+?...

Should I buy one?

The arrival of the Ford Ka+ is threatening the Sandero’s grasp on its crown as the budget hatchback of choice. The Ka+ is more enjoyable to drive and rides better, but its dynanmic advantages aren't as big as they were before this update of the Sandero, and Dacia provides more boot space and a significantly lower starting price.

The Sandero might not be the most accomplised of superminis, then, but its USP remains intact. It offers jaw-dropping value and is well worth considering.
