These interior shots show how the interior of the Alfa Romeo Mito supermini will look when the car is unveiled later this month.

Details about the car have been scarce, but it is known that the Mito is based on the Fiat Grande Punto underpinnings, albeit with its own suspension settings, and takes styling cues from the 108,000 8C Competizione supercar.

It will be launched with a choice of four turbocharged petrol and diesel engines, ranging from 90bhp to 155bhp. A hot version should arrive early in 2009 with a higher-powered engine.

Drivers will be able to select one of three driving modes, which will change the way the engine, brakes, steering and suspension operate. These are Dynamic for sports driving, Normal for town driving and All-weather for when road conditions are tricky.

Sales of the Mito is due to go on sale in early 2009, with prices tipped to start from 12,500.
