Aston Martins V12 Zagato made its public debut in May 2011, but it is still attracting plenty of attention at Frankfurt.

Following a similarly positive response to public outing at various events, Aston Martin has confirmed a limited production run of 150 cars.

After winning the award for Design in the Concepts and Prototypes class at the Villa DEste Concours in Italy, the V12 Zagato was sent to compete on the track. The first two cars had been developed as endurance racers and successfully completed the 39th ADAC Nurburgring 24 Hour race.

Its based on the V12 Vantage, but the V12 Zagato has a unique and hand-crafted aluminium and carbon fibre body. Each aluminium panel is formed over an English wheel and traditionally crafted body bucks. The double bubble roof hints at the iconic DB4GT Zagato, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year.

The V12 Zagato is powered by the same 6.0-litre V12 found in the Vantage, producing 510bhp and 420lb ft of torque.
