A 16-hour charge gives 12 minutes of suction. However, given its power, that should be enough to get you round even the dirtiest car. The swivel nozzle also extends, and that versatility helps you get into some tight spots. However, the tightest corners do prove frustratingly beyond its reach, as does any dirt that is ingrained in the carpet.

Ease of operation

There's no doubt that the Pivot is easy to charge and operate, and the practicality of its swivelling nozzle keeps things simple. However, it is not easy to manoeuvre into tight spaces, and is heavy to handle when you are bent double trying to stretch into the furthest recesses of your car.

Buying

This isn't sold purely as a car cleaner, and that goes some way to justifying its high price tag. It's not going to be big enough to vacuum your whole home, but it is more versatile than most.

Quality

The Pivot has futuristic looks that give it a sense of discreet style, and mean you could hang it on the wall without feeling too self-conscious about it. Its tough platic exterior wipes clean and is practical, too.

Special features

As the name implies, the pivoting nozzle is the major selling point here. It does help you reach extremities that would otherwise be inaccessible, but its long length can also be a hindrance when you are trying to get into the tightest spots. It has a two-year guarantee.
