From Superminis to luxury cars, we reveal the top-three cars in each category. We measured the car on its ability to resist being stolen, or having items stolen from it.

All the cars listed were rated by independent test experts Thatcham.

This award is dictated by how many qualifying cars each manufacturer has in the security league. With the Caddy, Maxi, Caravelle, Eos, Jetta,Passat CC, Phaeton, Sharan, Tiguan, Touran and Touareg, Volkswagen tops the list with 11 models.
