Cadillac has brought a new company name and even a few new cars to the Geneva motor show.

What is it?
The name on the Cadillac stand might be familiar, but its all change behind the scenes. A new company is being set up to import, market and distribute Cadillacs in Europe going by the rather unimaginative name of Cadillac Europe and the foundations of its range are on show in Geneva.

Escalade
Last, but not least certainly in terms of size Cadillac showed off the Escalade hybrid, which it claims is the worlds first full-size SUV featuring its Two-Mode Hybrid System.

This allows the vehicle to run solely on electric power at low speed, and also enables the V8 engine to run on four cylinders in certain conditions. The result is a reduction of more than 40% in fuel consumption in city driving and dramatically reduced exhaust emissions.
