Car photographers are brought up to strongly dislike dark-coloured cars because they don’t look as good in photos as strong, brightly coloured models. However, in my Citroën C4 with Obsidian Black metallic paint, I think I’ve found an exception.
Most so-called shades of black from other manufacturers seem to take away from a car’s design, at least to my eyes, but I truly think the C4’s striking looks are accentuated by the lack of a bold colour. The dramatic LED headlights remind me of the X-Wing spaceships from Star Wars, while the tail lights perfectly show off the styling, helping it to look like nothing else in its class.
Things become more conventional lower down the C4, but the optional Anodised Deep Red Colour Pack gives my car that small injection of colour it needs in all the right places.
Don’t go thinking this adoration for the C4's appearance is just coming from me. I couldn’t believe how many of my friends and family commented on how striking it looks when I popped home recently.
