CLC teaser image released

This is the first official picture of the new Mercedes CLC, which will replace the C-Class Sports Coupe when it goes on sale this June.

The full engine line-up hasn't been revealed, but the four-cylinder engines from the C-Class range will feature.

Mercedes says 1100 parts have been refined or changed from its predecessor, many of which are designed to enhance the car's appeal to younger buyers.

Other changes include more nimble steering and suspension, colour information screens and an improved satellite-navigation system.

The car will go on public display for the first time at the Mercedes-sponsored Fashion Week Berlin event, which begins on January 27.

Prices are expected to start from 20,000.
