Youngsters aged 13 and over, will learn about clutch control, gearchanges and navigating around obstacles in the 'Rookie Drive' course that's organised by Silverstone racing circuit and Renaultsport.

The teenagers will take the course in a powerful Renault Clio Renaultsport 200 Cup. The 200bhp hot hatch will be fitted with dual controls, however, in case the excitement proves too much for the students.

The two-hour driving experience costs 45, and takes place in a controlled environment at the Silverstone circuit, with expert guidance from fully qualified driving instructors.

Richard Phillips, managing director of Silverstone Circuits Limited, said: 'Rookie Drive will show teenagers how to be safe when starting out as a learner driver and it will give them a head start, as well as being a fun experience.'

How can I take part?
The Rookie Drive course is available as part of Silverstone's Rookie Super Choice Voucher, which is on sale now from www.silverstone.co.uk.

Vouchers can be redeemed from January 4, and must be booked and taken by the end of June 2010.
