Face-lifted Kia Optima revealed
* Kia Optima update * Mondeo rival from around 20,000 * On sale in spring 2014...

The face-lifted Kia Optima saloon has been unveiled at the New York motor show.
Kia's Ford Mondeo rival will go on sale in the UK in spring 2014, with a redesigned front and rear end, greater levels of equipment and the promise of a higher-quality cabin.
The most welcome change for company car drivers, however, is likely to be the revised engine line-up. The current 1.7-litre diesel engine will be replaced with the later-generation 2.0-litre diesel that's available in the Sportage SUV, promising improved fuel economy, lower CO2 emissions and superior refinement.
Theres no word on whether these changes will lead to price rises, but company insiders say Kia is keen to keep prices at current levels: 19,595 up to 24,495 for the top-spec model.
