Kia Sedona 2.9 CRDi GS, '08/08

It will happily tug Joe's caravan and will seat seven people. There are more flexible MPVs, but the Sedona has bags of interior room and sliding rear doors to aid access. The GS trim includes air-con.
Ford Galaxy 2.0 TDCi Zetec, '06/56

A far better car than the Rodius or Sedona, and Joe's caravan falls safely within its capabilities. The Galaxy is hugely versatile, with good space for seven (the boot's small with all seats up, though). Go for Zetec trim.
