Styling changes include a more pronounced front bumper and grille, as well as a redesigned bonnet, rear bumper and door mirrors.

In the cabin, changes are similarly subtle, and include the use of new fabric patterns and man-made leather.

Safety features include an active lighting system, which automatically illuminates interior lights in the event of a night-time accident, flashing brake lights to warn following motorists of heavy braking, and hill start assist, which stops the car rolling backwards on a hill.

Buyers can also specify active a parking assist system, which automatically steers and manoeuvres the car into a space.

Prices are expected to begin from 18,000.
