How the next BMW 6 Series could look

These computer-generated images show how BMW might hone the looks of its next-generation 6 Series Coupe and Convertible.

We probably won't see the car until around 2010 or 2011, because it's only recently had a face-lift.

When we do, though, it's likely to be a case of evolution, not revolution - the car has been such a sales success that radical changes will definitely be off the menu.

What you can see are design elements from last year's CS concept car, and longer, squatter looks with a sleeker roofline.

It's unlikely we'll see big changes in the engine line-up, either, with the proven 4.8 V8 and 5.0 V10 petrols and 3.0 diesels continuing.
