Jaguar and Land Rover is recruiting up to 600 new employees, with many of them being brought in to develop green technology.
The announcement comes weeks after new owners Tata Motors completed the acquisition of the companies, and signals its intent to grow the brands.
Jaguar Land Rover has previously announced it is investing 700 million to improve the environmental performance of its vehicles, with many of the new employees being brought in to work on what the company describes as 'ground-breaking' projects.
Announcing the scheme, newly appointed Jaguar Land Rover CEO David Smith said: 'This recruitment drive demonstrates Jaguar Land Rover's confidence in our future. With our new owners, we have entered an exciting era, with stunning new models and ambitious technologies.'
