Kensington Car Mount
Price: 24.99 (Amazon.co.uk)

Fitting
A strong sucker base with a ratchet provides an easy, secure fit. Designed primarily for a mobile of iPhone width, two sprung arms move back and grip your device securely.

advertisment

There are also two feet to ensure your phone doesn't slip through the holder.

Functions
A long flexible arm allows for plenty of adjustment to the angle of the phone, while the holder also rotates through 180 degrees allowing for portrait or landscape view.

The hollow structure of the cradle is designed to double the volume of your phone's loudspeaker if you don't have Bluetooth to connect to.

Materials
The plastics feel strong and well made without any sharp edges. The arms that grip the phone feel a little flimsy, but there's soft material on the backing and feet of the cradle to protect the phone.

What Car? says
Plenty of features and most of them work well. The sound of a phone's loudspeaker amplified through the cradle isn't brilliant, and you'll still have to talk loudly to get yourself heard at the other end, but it's better than nothing if you've haven't got Bluetooth.
