Mercedes SLK55 AMG prices revealed

The new Mercedes SLK55 AMG will cost from 54,950, and is available to order now.
The SLK55 AMG is the most powerful version of the two-seater convertible yet. It uses a 5.5-litre naturally aspirated V8 engine that blasts the SLK from 0-62mph in 4.6 seconds and to a limited top speed of 155mph.
It comes with a cylinder management system, that shuts down two of the cars eight cylinders when they're not required during periods of motorway cruising, for example. The technology cuts emissions by 30% to 195g/km and improves average economy by the same margin to 33.6mpg, compared with the previous car. An engine stop-start system also helps efficiency.
Standard equipment for the SLK55 AMG includes a seven-speed automatic transmission, an AMG sports suspension set-up, 18-inch alloys, leather upholstery, high-performance brakes and a satellite-navigation system with digital radio.
There are two options packages available: the AMG Performance Package features revised suspension and brakes, and a locking rear differential for 4105, while the 2755 AMG Driver's Package ups the car's top speed to 186mph.
The first cars will hit showrooms by March.
