Mercedes has updated its C-Class range for the 2013 model year, with new trims and engines.
The starting point for the new C-Class range is Executive SE trim, which replaces SE. Extra standard equipment includes a sports grille, 16-inch alloys, Artico (artificial leather) upholstery and LED daytime running lights, for only a 35 price increase.
Sport trim has been replaced by two trims AMG Sport and AMG Sport Plus. AMG Sport costs 960 less, while AMG Sport Plus costs 35 more than the old Sport trim and gets 18-inch alloys, xenon headlights, AMG sports seats and red seatbelts.
Mercedes has dropped the 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine from the saloon and estate range, but it remains available for the C-Class Coupe.
All C180 Blue Efficiency models now come with a new 1.6-litre direct-injection turbocharged petrol engine. It develops 152bhp and, in the saloon, averages 47.9mpg with CO2 emissions of 138g/km.
All C-Class models have an upgraded interior, with new colour options, repositioned cruise control and indicator stalks and new screen graphics.
