New Fiat Scudo Onyx adds sporty styling with diesel or electric power
The Fiat Scudo Onyx now comes with sporty hot hatch-style looks, available with diesel or electric power...

Among all the other sporty vans joining the market, the Fiat Scudo Onyx is the latest example. Indeed, it joins the likes of the Peugeot Expert Sport and the recently-revealed Citroën Dispatch VTR in a new range of vans with racing-inspired styling from parent brand Stellantis.
The new Onyx styling is available with both diesel and electric crew variants of the Scudo, adding a new front splitter, lowered side skirts and a redesigned rear bumper featuring a new spoiler. As standard, it gets 18in black alloy wheels, and the exterior is decorated with yellow accents.

Inside, the yellow accents continue onto the seats – which are perforated for improved ventilation – and dashboard. Standard equipment includes dual-zone electronic climate control, a heated driver’s seat and steering wheel, keyless entry and start and wireless phone charging.
You can specify Onyx trim on both diesel and electric variants of the Scudo. In diesel form, it's available exclusively with a 2.0-litre 178bhp engine, and comes matched to an eight-speed automatic gearbox. Despite the new sporty look, there’s no extra engine power.
The fully-electric E-Scudo Onyx comes equipped with the single 75kWh battery, offering 134bhp and an official range of 230 miles.

There was an Onyx edition of the old Scudo model before it was updated, of which sales were capped to just 100 here in the UK. It’s unclear if the new Scudo Onyx will be similarly limited.
For the diesel variant, prices start at £45,990 excluding VAT. That makes it a similar price to the Citroën Dispatch VTR diesel crew van.
Meanwhile, the E-Scudo starts at £50,940 excluding VAT after the Plug-in Van Grant has been applied. That’s just slightly more expensive than the Citroën ë-Dispatch VTR in crew van form.
