New Hyundai i10 to remain cheap

* Sharper styling and more efficient engines likely
The next-generation Hyundai i10 city car will be sold at a similar bargain price to the current model, Hyundai UK boss Tony Whitehorn has revealed to What Car?.
An all-new model is expected to go on sale in early 2014, and will 'carry on being positioned below the Toyota Aygo and Volkswagen Up,' Whitehorn said.
The current i10 starts at 8345 and the new model, set to be manufactured in Turkey for the first time, is likely to carry on the same formula.
Spy shots of the new car being tested reveal that it's likely to be the same size as the current model, and will have a similar overall shape.
There's a more pronounced kick to the side window line, however, and we'd expect a new front grille, similar to the one on Hyundai's i30 and i40 models.
Power is expected to come from revised versions of the current 1.0- and 1.2-litre petrol engines, with the promise of better fuel economy and reduced CO2 emissions.
The interior will be strongly influenced by those of the i30 and i40, too, and you can expect higher equipment levels, improved interior quality and a more comprehensive range of options, especially for infotainment and connectivity options.
