New look for Volvo C30

Volvo's C3 has a new look.

Hot on the heels of the face-lifted C70 announced last week, Volvo has revealed updated styling for its C30 small family car.

The whole of the C30's front end has been redesigned, for an appearance that Volvo describes as 'more dramatic and expressive'. The new lights, bumper, front wings and bonnet create a look that takes its influence from the Volvo S60 concept car.

There are also new door mirrors, a colour-coded rear valance and, on T5 and D5 versions, visible exhaust tailpipes.

A new 'Orange Flame' metallic paint finish has been added, and there are two new wheel options, including a white option. A new accessory styling kit includes aluminiuium-effect foglamp surrounds, front and rear skidplates and side scuff plates.

More colour
Interior changes are limited to new fabrics and colours. A new 'Espresso/Blond' colour scheme has a dark brown upper section and a blond, fresh shade for the lower door sides. With this scheme, you can also add accent colours, including orange, green or blue seat panels, or new 'Cranberry' leather upholstery.

More sporty
A new 'Sports chassis' option is now available for all but 1.6D DRIVe models. It includes tweaked steering for quicker responses and stiffer suspension for sharper handling.

The C30's engine range is unchanged, so there are 1.6-, 2.0- or 2.4-litre diesel engines and 1.6-, 2.0- or 2.5-litre petrols. CO2 emissions range from 104g/km to 203g/km.
