New VW Bluemotion Technology cars

Volkswagen has added efficient Bluemotion Technology models to the Scirocco coupe and Passat CC family car ranges.

Priced from 21,500 in the Scirocco and 23,555 in the Passat CC ranges, the cars use a 2.0-litre 138bhp diesel engine and a battery of modifications to lower CO2 emissions and improve fuel economy.

The six-speed manual version of the Scirocco has the best figures with CO2 output of 118g/km low enough for the cheapest company car tax band. Average fuel economy for this car is 62.8mpg.

The Passat CC manages CO2 emissions as low as 125g/km and fuel efficiency as high as 60.1mpg. A Bluemotion Technology Passat CC with a 168bhp engine is also available.

All cars come with six-speed manual gearbox or, as with a DSG automatic as a cost option.
