Paris show: Ferrari update
* FF gets new panoramic roof
* California 30 drops weight, gains power
Ferrari has chosen the Paris motor show to showcase a range of new features, models and engineering.
Most notably, the chassis that Ferrari plans to use on its future hybrid model has been on show, after the models architecture and components were publicised recently.
The limited edition hybrid will have a hand-laminated chassis constructed from four types of carbonfibre.
F1 technology has also been applied throughout. Carbon and Kevlar under trays are planned to prevent road debris damage, and tough T100 carbonfibre used in the nose-cones of F1 cars, picked for its good impact absorption, is being applied to the hybrid's doors.
The chassis is 20% lighter than that of the old Enzo supercar, and is a lot stiffer.
Ferrari has also been showing off the latest addition to its FF a full-length panoramic roof.
The reflective glass gives passengers an open-air feel while keeping the cabin cool and quiet.
Also on show is the California 30, revealed earlier in the year. Its name refers to the 30kg reduction in weight and 30bhp increase in horsepower over the previous California.
