What Car? Personal Shopper: best high-set SUV for less than £25,000
Our choice: buy used
This one was a no-brainer: while our new car choices fill your needs, the used options, and especially the fully loaded Tiguan we found, will suit you down to the ground. It's a prime example of why buying used (and especially looking at nearly new options) is a wise use of your time when looking for a new car.
The Tiguan we sourced comes in SE specification, which adds three-zone climate control, front and rear parking sensors and cruise control to the entry-level car. If you can afford to, we'd recommend looking at an SE Nav version too, because it adds integrated sat-nav into the mix as well.
The Tiguan has plenty of space inside, so getting yourself, family, friends and their luggage on board should be no problem. And because you've got 4Motion four-wheel drive, the car should be able to handle anything you can throw at it – no matter how adventurous.
Our recommendation, then, is to buy used.
