This is the Peugeot RC, a hybrid concept car with sporty performance but strong environmental credentials.

advertisment

The GT coupe is described by Peugeot as 'a working laboratory of many future ideas and brings together numerous stylistic, engineering and technological ideas all in a single vehicle'.

Although full details of the car's engine and hybrid set up haven't been released, Peugeot has revealed the car will have a maximum power output of 313bhp and carbon dioxide emissions of 109g/km while the engine is running.

Other details remain scant, but the car has four doors, four seats and a hybrid powertrain that Peugeot describes as 'highly innovative'.

The RC name is also set to change, with details only being announced at the Paris Show on October 2. Peugeot has tagged its concept cars RC since 2002.
