Renault Scenic 2012 prices revealed

Prices for the Renault Scenic 2012 range have been revealed. The updated Scenic
five-seat and Grand Scenic seven-seat MPVs have cosmetic changes, more kit and new engines.

The 2012 Scenics revised styling includes new front lights, bumper and grille. There are also new rear lights, LED daytime running lights and extra gloss black and chrome trim.

Two new versions are available. The 1.5 dCi Stop & Start uses the existing 1.5 dCi diesel engine, but adds stop-start and brake-energy-regeneration systems. Compared with the current 1.5 dCi's, CO2 emissions are down by 23g/km to 105g/km, while average economy rises 11.3mpg to 68.9mpg.??

A new 1.2 TCe 115 petrol model also joins the range. It has CO2 emissions of 135g/km - 39g/km less than the entry-level 1.6 VVT 110 model, while average economy is 11.4mpg better at 49.6mpg.??

New options include Renaults Visio System, which combines a lane-departure-warning system with an automatic headlight function that detects the lights of nearby vehicles and/or street lighting. Hill Start Assist is now standard on all versions.

Just one trim Dynamique TomTom is available. Standard equipment includes alloys, automatic headlights and wipers, Bluetooth, rear parking sensors and sat-nav.

The entry-level version is now the 1.6 VVT 110 TomTom, at 18,325. Where comparable, prices have risen by between 210 and 525, compared with the previous Scenic.
