The new models are targeted predominantly at fleet and business users and include DVD-based sat-nav, an upgraded Bose stereo, black leather upholstery and an MP3-player connection in place of the USB port.

As a result, company users who want these items fitted to their cars will pay less tax than before. According to Seat, choosing a 2.0 TDI 143 PS SE Tech rather than an SE will cost less than 3 extra in tax each month.

The cars are available to order now, and prices start from 21,270 for a 2.0 TDI CR 143 SE Tech to 24,175 for the 2.0 TDI CR 170 Sport Tech ST estate.
