Seat 'Q3' will be built, April 2011

Seats baby IBX crossover has been given the green light and will go into production next year.

Industry sources confirmed to whatcar.com that the concept car shown at the Geneva motor show this year will be built and use the same platform as the Audi Q3.

It will also be built alongside the Q3 at Seats Martorell factory in Spain.

Seat has been waiting years to get a crossover to market after the Tribu 4x4 concept model, shown at the Frankfurt motor show in 2007, was halted from going into production due to the economic outlook at the time.
